Community Living

/what we do/communitylivingwebCommunity Living helps disabled children to develop as individuals while being safe and secure at home and in their community. Rather than institutionalising young people, Action For Kids encourages them to exercise their rights. We help young people to use services, such as libraries, doctors' surgeries and sports facilities,so they can participate in community life. The young people we work with also have a right to physical access to buildings in order to improve their quality of life. This is just one of the barriers to independence we want to help remove.

Community Sport Relief Awards

Are you a young person with vision between the ages of 11 and 21?  Would you like to promote understanding and reduce conflict in your community?  Do you have an idea of how to do this through sport?

UnLtd Sport Relief Awards provide cash awards of up to £500 (11-16 year olds) and between £500 and £5,000 (17-21 year olds) to run a community project that uses sport to bring communities together to resolve conflict and promote understanding.  For example, with this money you could engage young people from different backgrounds by organising an indoor cricket mini-world cup.
