Volunteering

Volunteer with Action For Kids!

Action For Kids depends on volunteers to run many of its activities and outings.  Volunteers can really make a difference to the lives of the young people who come into our centre and to those who use the mobility equipment we provide. We have a range of volunteering opportunities available, which includes working together with young people, office duties, fundraising and helping with charity events.

We work in north London with young people aged 14 – 26+ who have a physical and/or learning disability.  Some come from local schools during term time to take part in work related learning and activities at our centre in Hornsey; some come for activities and outings during half terms and holidays; and some come to work on particular days.

You could help people by providing additional learning support, helping with activities and events, or joining the new Supported Work programme.

We also have a fund-raising team who raise money so that we can buy specialist mobility equipment for young people across the UK.
